I’m the same way! We can only eat leftovers maybe once and then it’s time to recreate or invent! I enjoy these creative adventures and reading your post I was tickled to know that I’m not the only one who does this. I haven’t experimented with some of the flavor profiles you’re working with but I want to!
That’s a good point. I can eat the same foods repeatedly if made fresh to be honest like I could have steel cut oats for breakfast every single day because I love them. I do think being grateful for our food is important. Instead of feeling guilty for starvation what can we do within our world to impact it perhaps?
Great post Lisa. So creative with the surplus goodies. I hope people who are leftover-challenged can learn from your ideas. And the garlic nasi goreng...wow.
Thank you John, that garlic nasi goreng is an all time favourite breakfast. The key is lots of garlic slowly sautéed with the rice, and also restraint with how much you add.
What a beautiful feast!! Love the no-waste approach with the leftovers too
Thank you Aki, it was a feast with a long life. I enjoyed a couple of samosas for lunch yesterday.
Sounds fantastic!

How lovely Allysia, we are very alike in this regard. I’m always astounded when I meet people who eat the same thing every day.
But in truth I should not be saying such things at this time, when so many people are starving.

That’s where the sharing food comes in for me.
Yes! Sharing is so beautiful!
Leftovers like that really are a feast. Mouthwatering, Lisa.
Oh thank you Wendy. When I was 10 I would have eaten them in hot pants. I loved that story.

Thank you Harrison, you are so kind.
